The idea behind the Committee
The Committee consisted of members appointed by Ilisimatusarfik (the University of Greenland) and members appointed by the University of Copenhagen. The members were appointed by the two universities' respective rectors, and comprised persons with special expertise within the relevant fields.
The rectors of the two universities constituted the overall steering group, together with two expert representatives from the Committee, i.e. one member appointed by each of the two institutions. The rectors jointly appointed a Chairman of the Committee.
