How the Committee worked

The Committee's work took place over a period of approximately one year. During this period, the members of the Committee met several times to discuss the topic of mineral resources from different angles. During this process, external stakeholders and contributors were involved, such as scientists and representatives from the business community, NGOs and other organisations.

On this basis, the Committee produced a number of background papers, in order to analyse various aspects of the extraction of mineral resources. The background papers were subject to peer review and published via the website.

The background papers formed the basis for a synthesis report in which recommendations and conclusions were presented.
The report was also communicated to a wider audience. This will took place via debate events and articles in one or several national newspapers.
