Workshops and talks at Future Greenland 2015

Presenting

Growth and wellfare is on the agenda at the annual "Future Greenland" conference in May. Greenland Perspective will present itself present with a workshop and a conference presentation by Minik Rosing.

"Growth and wellfare" will be the themes of the fourth "Future Greenland" conference in Nuuk from 6-7. May 2015. The goal of the conference is to discuss the development of the Greenlandic society in the future. 

Helle Siegstad from the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources will be among the speakers at the Greenland Perspective workshop

The conference is organized by the Greenlandic employer's organization GE and around 350 participants from industry, universities, organizations and authorities from mainly Greenland and Denmark are expected to attend this years conference. 

From minus to plus

Greenland Perspective will be well represented at the conference. 

On the first day, a workshop will be held, inviting possible Greenlandic business partners to discuss the content of the initiatives "Green Land" theme package. 

The workshop consists of a presentation of Greenland Perspective and the Green Land theme package by Minik Rosing. Subsequently two researchers - Peter Stougaard from the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences at the University of Copenhagen and Helle Siegsted from the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources - will provide the participants with examples that show how research and business can benefit from each other through the Greenland Perspective initiative.

On the second day of the conference, leader of the initiative, Minik Rosing, will give a talk presenting the Greenland Perspective initiative. The topic of the talk is "from minus to plus" and the aim is to show how the special characteristics of Greenland - like the cold or the country's remoteness - which are often presumed to be obstacles, can actually be turned into international competitive advantages.
