Public workshop on soapstone

Join us for a day full of learning and new experiences. 

The geologists' of GEUS Nuuk will be the hosts of a fun day at Ikkattut at Storø in the Nuuk Fjord in Greenland. 

There will be short talks and demonstration by the geologists' on the research about soapstone, there will be talks about the archeology and former and present uses of soapstone. The Ministry of Mineral Resources will also be present to talk about the rule for exploration of the resource and finally local artists' will demonstrate how to carve soapstone. 

Coffee and the will be served throughout the day. The event is free but transportation to the event must be organized by yourself.
